The science faculty of the college was established in the year 1982. The first batch of department of physics of five students graduated from college in the year 1985. The department of physics started flourishing slowly year by year. The students of the department have been awarded with many scholarships by the university. The students of the department have been topped in the university merit list.

The department of physics always gives emphasis on curricular & co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The department organises class test, seminar, assignments and so on practice for the students. To enhance their curricular performance. The department also conduct study tour, field visit, guest lectures etc such co-curricular activities. The department organises many such activities and prepare students to face future challenges.

•   Physics laboratory is developed with required dark rooms and necessary furniture.
•   Department is fully equipped with instruments as per UGC guidelines.
•   Department is provided with two computers with Wi-Fi internet facility and LCD projector.
•   Faculties of department are well qualified with Ph. D., NET/SET, M.Phil.
