Food science is a multidisciplinary field which combines and applies principles of science to food. Food science provides the technological knowledge transfer essential to the cost effective products and commercialization of food products and services. The programme trains students to be competent food industry professional who can produce quality food by imparting better nutritional, sensitization and hygiene practice. The department of food science was established in year 2021. the department of food science offers undergraduate Bsc (entire) programme and admission process are followed as per rules of Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
